RAB Products uses artificial intelligence as a working partner: to question assumptions, organize evidence, build prototypes, write, field-test ideas, and help turn rough concepts into useful things. Around here, that collaborator is simply called Chat.

What that means
Not a mascot. Not magic. A collaborator.
Chat works alongside RAB Products LLC across product development, research, writing, documentation, and experimentation. The goal is not to make artificial intelligence look impressive. The goal is to make difficult work more manageable and useful.
Sometimes that means helping shape a serious product. Sometimes it means challenging an idea. Sometimes it means building something just because it might be fun enough to teach us something.

What collaboration looks like
A real problem. A conversation. Then a lot of testing.
My Resort Locator is one of the clearest examples of how the RAB Products workbench operates. Stacy identified the problem. Rick brought it into the conversation. From there, the idea was questioned, mapped, built, corrected, field-tested, simplified, and tested again against the resort itself.
The useful part was not that an AI produced an answer. The useful part was the loop: observation, discussion, prototype, evidence, correction, and human judgment. That loop turned a vacation frustration into a working RAB product.

The subject changes from project to project, but the pattern is familiar: find the friction, organize what matters, test assumptions, and keep improving the result until it becomes useful.

The map is not the territory.
Building My Resort Locator made that old idea very literal. A pin can be correct while the route is wrong. Two destinations can look close together while a wall, pool, building, road, or restricted area makes the obvious path unusable. A photograph can settle a question that paragraphs of description cannot.
That experience sharpened a rule that applies well beyond maps: models and representations are useful, but reality gets the final vote. Good collaboration means being willing to revise the model when the evidence disagrees.

One of the clearest examples of this collaboration became a book: an exploration of artificial intelligence, human judgment, trust, power, skepticism, responsibility, and the choices people make about the intelligence they create and use.
The project grew from extended conversations rather than a conventional one-way writing process. The complete first edition is now available free.
